Janmashtami: Janmashtami’s Dhoom across the country

Today, the festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated with great fanfare throughout the country. The temples across the country have been decorated in a grand way. Dahi-Handi is also organized on the occasion of this special occasion.

On the occasion of Janmashtami, the ISKCON temple of Delhi has been decorated in a grand way. The devotees are also gathering in large numbers in the temple.

Jammu and Kashmir

Janmashtami is being celebrated with great fanfare in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The devotees have started gathering temples in the temples since morning and have been taking cover in front of their adorable Lord Krishna. In the temples, looking at the girls made of black and white Radha gives a different feeling of happiness. 


There is a different look in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna. On the occasion of Janmashtami, there are a huge number of devotees from all over India and abroad gathered in the temples here. Since morning, Lord Shri Krishna’s Aarti is happening. The devotees are also dancing joyfully.

Dadar in Mumbai

Dahi-Handi has been organized at Dadar in Mumbai on the occasion of Janmashtami. To get rid of Handi, teams from different places of Mumbai are also gathering.


In Nepal, Janmashtami is being celebrated with great pomp. Lord Srikrishna’s temple has been opened again in Lalitpur for the devotees. After the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015, the temple was damaged, after which it was closed.
