Asian Games 2018: India hauled bronze medal in men’s hockey, Beat Pakistan 2-1

18th Asian Games, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan 2-1 to win Bronze Medal. In Asian Games, India now has a total of 69 medals (15 Gold, 24 Silver and 30 Bronze). With this, India is at 8th position in Asian Games. Talk about this match played for the third position, then India kept the pressure on Pakistan from the start and did not give it a chance to score. In the fourth quarter of the match, the Pakistan team definitely scored 1, but they could not match India in the match. 

Akashdeep (third minute) and Harmanpreet (50th minute) scored for India, while the only goal for Pakistan was given by Atiq Ahmed (51st minute). The Pakistan team got 4 penalty corners in the match. But the Indian defense line did not give it a chance to score. The Indian team got only two penalty corners in this match, in which he converted one to the goal, while on the other he could not do that.

In the fourth and final quarter of the match, Pakistan’s team was constantly trying to match, but the Indian team was not in the mood to give him any chance. This time the strikers of India conveyed the ball to Pakistan’s D and found the first penalty corner in the 50th minute of the game. Harmanpreet Kaur made no mistake in making the goal here and doubling the lead of India. In the meantime, in the next minute, Pakistan, with a remarkable field goal, retracted India’s advantage once again to one. Atik Ahmed scored the first and only goal for Pakistan here. After this, there was no goal in the match, and India made it to their name by a gap of 2-1.
